Spring Crafts for Kids

Joann.com

Spring's a great time for crafts.

Make these spring crafts for kids while sitting on a rug in a garden or park on a fine day. Children love it!

Make foam flowers, play with sand and melted wax, and enjoy the warmth and fresh air. The mess stays outside too, so it's easier to clean up.

Some of these crafts are suitable for a group of kids to make together.

sand crafts diorama

Make an Undersea Diorama. A sunken wreck lies on the sea floor amongst seaweed and colourful fish. Peeping in is like entering another world.
Children are fascinated by this, and it really gets their imaginations going.

pencil flowers

Pencil Flowers - A quick and simple project for all ages. Make one or a whole bunch.

craft to do with kids using sand

Make solid sand sculptures that last longer then ordinary sandcastles. You can decorate them with craft jewels or flat decorating marbles, dry them out and keep them for a while!

Make a giant butterfly completely out of flowers. This looks great on a girl's bedroom wall.

Try making a collage butterfly picture on canvas. Sparkly butterflies glide above a field of flowers. Easy, and very effective.

flower headband

Spring Flower headbands in pastel or bright colours. Little girls enjoy these, but so do big girls!

Flower necklaces made from pearly shell beads. These are a little special. Girls love to make them.

sand candle

Sand Candles
Kids love this combination of sand and wax craft.
