Kids love parties! Next time you need ideas for a birthday party, how about throwing a kids' craft party?
Having something to make helps to keep the children calm and busy. It's a good idea to buy a few special materials for your crafts. This adds to the fun and excitement!
For girls, you could buy glittery beads, shiny embellishments, and pearlescent paints, depending on which craft projects you're making.
For boys, buy brightly coloured, fluorescent or glow-in-the-dark paints, dinosaur or animal beads, and embellishments with themes such as 'space', and 'robots'.
Decorate plain denim pencil cases with fabric paint and embellishments.
Decorate paper mache money boxes.
Decorate picture frames, then give each child a print of all the kids at the party to put into their frame.
Make bead necklaces - there are thousands of kinds of beads, from glow-in-the-dark, to animals, stars, flowers, spaceships, real rose quartz and amethyst - let your child choose something special.
Make feathered headbands, like the one above, by gluing craft feathers and jewels onto a wide band of elastic with hot-glue guns.
