Here's a fun Christmas gift craft for kids. Sure to be a hit! Cover a shirt with candy and give it as a gift to another family...
To Make this Gift,You'll Need
A bright red large size men's polo shirt (buy one from a second hand shop and wash it first)
Various wrapped chocolates and candy
Hot glue gun
Clear cellophane
Now Make Your Christmas Gift
Using the hot glue gun, glue the wrapped chocolates and candies onto the shirt. Older kids can do this if you supervise. Space them about every 5cm (2-3 inches) all over the shirt.
Fold the shirt and wrap it in cellophane, along with a note which says:
The Great Christmas Candy Chase On Christmas Day, get your Dad to put this shirt on. He needs to shout, "Ho, ho, ho", and run away. This is the signal for all the kids to chase him and grab the candy.
This is sure to get Dad fit, and the kids just love it. Watch out - you'll need to make one for your own family too. They'll want to make one every year.
Think of other ways to decorate a shirt. You could make a bug T-shirt by gluing plastic spiders and insects all over it! Try gluing on craft jewels to make a princess T-shirt. Or paint a fish on a T-shirt using fabric paints, iron it, and then glue sequins on for scales. These would make good Christmas presents - perhaps for cousins.
